An aftershock from my powerful release nearly knocked me to the floor. That never fucking happens. Never.

“Are you sure you’re okay? You’re a bit unsteady.”

“Must be your imagination.” I kissed her, wanting to claim her again so completely, so unapologetically, that we’d never be able to survive without each other.

Victoria trembled in my arms, framing my face with her hands. “You’ve never kissed me like that before.”

“Like what?”

Her shy smile pierced the few remaining barriers I kept up. This woman. She had no idea the things I would do for her. The lengths I would go. The risks I would take.

“I can’t explain it…it felt like…forever.” The light touch of her fingers on my scar shook me to the core. “I’m not making any sense.”

Forever.

“Makes perfect sense to me.”

A silent promise passed between us as our breathing slowed and bodies relaxed.

“Are you okay to stand?” I asked, carrying her away from the door.

“Are you?” she sassed.

“I’m still semi-hard inside you. I don’t think you’re asking the right question.”

“I do enjoy an encore.”

“You’ll get one. Several, in fact.” I smirked, pulling out and holding her close when she slid her legs to the floor. “I’ll be fucking you all night in this jersey when I take you to the hotel.”

“You’re obsessed with the jersey. Athletes and their god complexes.”

“You love it.” I zipped myself up, noticing a box of tissues on the desk. Not the best option but it’ll do until I get her in the shower.

“Care to test that theory?”

“I think I just did.” I went to grab the tissues and walked back.

“Ah-ha. The ego strikes first.”

I knelt to clean her. When I looked up and met her soft gaze, I smiled.

“What?”

“I…I just really like you on your knees.”

“Yeah?” I stood up. “I’ll keep that in mind.”

She shot me one of her trademark smart ass looks as she grabbed her clothes.

I leaned against the door, watching her redress and fix her makeup.

She pulled her hair out of the elastic, bent forward to comb through it with her hands, and gathered it up again. When she popped back upright, her radiant smile lit my soul on fire. We need to get to the hotel immediately.

“Let’s go before I devour the rest of you on that desk.”

“Please do,” she purred, kissing my cheek.

When I opened the door, we were greeted by Cade. The flustered grin on his face actually made me laugh.
