“Not this again!” She shouts, kicking and thrashing as I sit on the couch, laying her across my knees. I say nothing as I yank the pants down over her ass, my cock pressed against her side making every movement torture.

“You enjoy this, don’t you?” I ask, my fingers pushing between her thighs to rub against the wetness as she tries to hide it from me. I pull my hand away, bringing it down on her ass and she sucks in a breath, biting her lip as she stills in my lap.

Noise outside my door makes us both pause, hearing voices before the doorknob rattles and I realize a second too late that I didn’t lock the door after Isabelle left. Markus pokes his head in, locking eyes with me as pull her shirt down to cover Luna’s ass.

Even as I’m the one sitting here, stark naked.

“Get the fuck out.” I snap at him, pissed that he didn’t knock.

“I knew it, you kinky old bastard.” Markus barks out a laugh, shoving Alec back to shut the door and no doubt tell everyone what he just witnessed.

“Can you lock your door next time?” Luna asks, barely containing her laughter. I roll my eyes, picking her up and sitting her on the couch next to me.

“Behave while I get dressed.” I warn her, pinching her chin between my thumb and finger as I pull her in for a kiss. Luna tilts her head, her tongue poking out before she stiffens and pulls back.

“Go get dressed.” She huffs, sitting back and crossing her arms. She thought she was going to walk away from me at the end of this, and I was determined to break down every wall she had built so I could keep her.

When I opened the door, it took every ounce of strength I had to not punch Markus right in his smug face. Isabelle was grinning and Alec just looks annoyed. His usual scowl was only amplified. Aden stands behind them, grinning and giving me a thumbs up.

“Not a word.” I say under my breath, leaving the door open and walking back into the room to sit next to Luna. I make sure our thighs are touching, pressing as close to her as I can manage. She gives me a glare and scoots away, only amusing me further.

Luna stops fidgeting next to me, her eyes going wide as she looks up at Aden. His face morphs from confusion to rage as he glances between the two of us.

“You gotta be fucking kidding me.” He snaps, crossing the room to where I shoot up from the couch and put myself between them.

“Touch her and I’ll kill you. Our alliance be damned.” My voice booms across the small room. We stand chest to chest, and everyone is frozen in shock, watching us. Aden curls his lip in disgust, looking me up and down.

“My problem is with her, not you, Jared. Step back.” Aden’s voice shakes, his rage seething through.

“She’s mine now, so your problem is with me.” I snarl the words, towering over Aden.

“Wanna fill him in, Luna? Isabelle said this girl had told you who her family was. Obviously not.” He spits the words, stepping away from me to rub a hand over his face. Isabelle looks betrayed, her face pinched as her eyes shimmer when I look at her. I turn to face Luna, who has a hand over her mouth and streaks of tears down her face.

“My name is Luna Collins. Aden is my brother.” She admits. Her eyes are locked on me as I step back to think.

“Why didn’t you tell me?” I ask, realizing what damage I could have done. She shrugs until a pissed off Isabelle steps into my vision and jabs her sharp finger into my chest.

“You lied to me, Goliath. You don’t get to be angry with her for withholding who her fucking family is. Vincent is going to be pissed.” She snaps, her voice thick. Alec and Markus are both staring at me with mixed looks of confusion and betrayal.

What had I done, to me, to my family?

Chapter 10- Luna

I was fucked. Figuratively, and as of last night, literally fucked. How could this be happening right now? My brother was here, blowing everything. Jared looked at me as if I was his enemy, and he may as well be, after lying to his family for me. Aden was pulling out his phone, and I knew he was calling our father.

“Aden please.” I beg. I stand, trying to reason with him.

Jared steps in front of me and snatches the phone out of his hand. He throws it to the ground and brings his foot down, crushing the screen. Rage ripples across Aden’s face as he wordlessly shoves Jared, barely budging the giant wall of a man. This was going to get ugly, fast.

I lunge forward, trying to grab Jared’s arm as he pulls his fist back, but he swings it directly into Aden’s cheek. The sound fills the empty room and chaos erupts. Isabelle grabs me and drags me away while Markus and Alec step in. They pry the two apart before they can tear one another to pieces.

“Knock it off!” Alec shouts, getting in Jared’s face and stopping him.

The only thing that actually kept them apart was Jared’s respect for his friends. Markus is barely containing his laugh while jerking Aden’s chin from side to side as he looks over the bruising already showing on his cheek.

Yanking my arm away from Isabelle, my steps are hurried as I walk into the kitchen to ruffle through Jared’s freezer. I pull out a bag of frozen blueberries, shutting the door and turning to run right into him as he looks me over.

“Did I hurt you?” Jared asks, reaching a hand out to tuck my hair behind my ear.
