Rush grins against my lips. “You really are my dream girl.”

We do eventually make it to the massive tub in the bathroom attached to the pack bedroom.

Rush sets me on the tub as he starts the hot water.

I jolt as the jets start.

It really is the fanciest bathroom I’ve ever been in. He darts around the room, grabbing towels and bottles from the shower. I follow his swinging cock with my gaze, like a total freak.

He sets the bottles on the back wall and the towels on the outer edge before turning to me. “Do you want me to help you tie up your hair?”

I nod, licking my lips.

That’ll be perfect.

When I drop to my knees to suck him off, he’ll even have something to hold on to.

Holy crap.

The fog is definitely coming in strong, when all I can think about is tackling him to the floor and having my way with him.

He chuckles, sliding around behind. “The bond is fucking incredible. Being able to tell what you’re thinking is crazy.”

My face heats.

Dammit.

My thoughts and emotions seem to project clearer to them than vice versa. It could be that they know how to block things from spilling over better than I do.

Rush slides around the tub, squatting in front of me. I bite my cheek to keep focused as I ensure my eyes stay on his.

He grins, pushing his happiness at me in the bond.

“Ready to get clean, so we can get very dirty all over again?” The devilish little smile that tugs at his lips makes me ache to act like an unhinged omega. He laughs like he fully understands where my thoughts went.

“You did that on purpose.” I realize it as the words slip from my lips.

“Hey, I’m only human.” He stands and offers me his hands. I put mine in his and he pulls me up. “Knowing how badly you want me is a killer boost to my self-esteem, but don’t worry, pretty girl. I won’t ever play coy. I need you just as badly.”

He knows exactly how to make my heart race and my insides all melty.

Chapter Twenty-Four

Thorne

Heats truly are full-blown fuckfests. I’m baffled when I wake up in the nest with Bear and Rush but no Lennox. It makes me majorly paranoid as I tug on a pair of sweats and start searching.

The only thing that keeps me from completely panicking is that I can feel her in the bond. She’s somewhere close by, and she’s not in danger or upset.

Shera greets me at the bottom of the stairs, and I give her a quick pat.

“Where’s Lennox?” I ask, scratching Shera’s ear.

“In here,” my omega calls out from the living room.

I give Shera a final pat and jog into the living room by the front door.

Lennox is sitting on the floor in front of the fireplace with several bins open and Christmas decorations everywhere.
