“Then I would have had to take my eyes off your perfect ass.”

His hands slide down my back to grab said feature. I gasp as he pulls my pelvis into his and I feel the erection I hadn’t known was already there.

“Spencer,” I say on a sigh as my eyes drift closed and his lips find mine again.

A car pulls up and we separate. It feels like tearing off my skin to let him go. He confirms the ride is here for us and then holds the door open for me before getting in the other side. He pulls his phone out as the car starts toward our destination and I pull out mine.

“What’s your address?” I ask.

He rattles it off and I send the message to Daze, like she asked me to.

We put our phones away at the same time, turning toward each other. “Sorry,” he said. “I just wanted to make sure Vic knew I was bringing someone home. Just in case she comes home earlier than I thought.”

“No problem,” I say with a laugh. “I just had to text my friends your address so they know where to send the police if you try to murder me.”

He shakes his head, his eyes alight with laughter. “Murdering you is not on my agenda tonight. I have some other things in mind that I want to do to you.”

He’s sitting right against me, my body hot where our legs and arms are touching. He takes my hand in his, twining our fingers together.

I lean toward him, needing his lips on mine again. Those beautiful, lush lips that have a hint of my lipstick on them. He lets go of my hand to cup the back of my neck, drawing me closer. Our lips brush once, twice, before he crushes me to him, and we’re lost in each other again. He trails kisses along the edge of my jaw and then someone clears their throat.

Our driver.

“We’re here, man,” he says.

The car has stopped in front of a building that looks out over English Bay and Vanier Park on the other side of the water.

“This is where you live?” I exclaim as we get out of the car.

The moonlight shines off the ocean and I could stare at the picturesque scene all night. Spencer comes up behind me, wrapping his arms around me, looking at the view as well.

“This is where I live. Vic owns the place. I rent a room from her.”

I turn in his arms, suddenly so curious about the man who has demanded my attention from the first second I saw him. Now is not the time.

“Take me to it,” I whisper, pressing a kiss in the soft spot below his ear.

“As you wish,” he whispers back and I giggle, placing the famous line from The Princess Bride easily.

We don’t say anything more as he links our fingers together and pulls me with him, getting us in the building and into the elevator quickly. Then he pulls me against him, leaning on the wall as he kisses and nips along my neck, making me moan. The ride up is too short. He leads me to a door and unlocks it, tugging me inside and then pressing me against the cool wood, leaning in and capturing my lips again.

“Fuck, Lis, you are so gorgeous,” he says against my skin, sending shivers through my body.

“You’re not so bad yourself.”

He wraps his arms around me and pulls us through another door on our left. Inside he separates for a moment to turn on the light and there’s the bed, massive in the small space. And just like that, a wash of anxiety floods me.

“I’ve never done this before,” I blurt.

He looks at me, blue eyes wide. “Had sex?”

“With a practical stranger.”

He lets out a breath and then moves toward me, holding me gently.

“I don’t usually either. I want you, Lis. A lot. But if you’re not comfortable with this, we can just chill. Watch a show or something. Or I can get you a car to take you home. It’s your choice.”

I search his eyes and see nothing but sincerity in them. That makes up my mind. I haven’t ever had sex outside of relationships before. But I want him. And I don’t want to consider why it might be wrong or why it might not work out. I just want to take this one thing that he’s offering without worrying about the consequences.
