The moment his dick let loose a string of cum, so did Seth’s. The boy gave a more muted cry, but his cum was no less hot and sticky as it ran over Caleb’s fingers. He opened his hand and wrapped his fingers around Seth’s so that he held both their spasming cocks within his palm. Their cum mingled and so did their hands. The extra stimulation of their rubbing dicks gave him a second, mini-climax.
Seth whimpered into Caleb’s chest, making him freeze.
“Are you all right?” He blinked his eyes open and looked down at the trembling body pressed against him. “Seth, sweetheart, did I hurt you?”
Alarm slamming into him, Caleb freed his hand and tried to move the omega to see for himself. He cursed inwardly at how careless he’d been with the recovering boy. But, instead of letting Caleb roll him over, the omega buried himself closer into Caleb.
Seth slung his arm across Caleb’s waist and shuddered. “So good,” he murmured.
Then there was silence until Caleb realized that the omega had fallen fast asleep.

“Caleb! Got a minute?”
He stopped mid-step and looking over his shoulder, he saw Lorcan striding toward him. “Sure, Alpha.” He turned to Seth, who stood by his side, running a towel over his wet hair. “Go on back to the shed. I’ll join you as soon as I’m done talking to the alpha.”
“Okay.” Seth had been pretty quiet since he’d woken from his nap. He backed away, his gaze skipping over to the approaching alpha, before leaving.
The sight of the boy’s back caused a strange worry in him. He felt the urge to chase after him, keep him in his sight. Knowing that wasn’t an option, he returned his attention to the alpha. “What’s up, sir?”
He stressed a little that he was about to be called out over Seth’s bad behavior with Will. His concern was not for himself, but for Seth. He’d been careful about keeping the omega away from the others for the remainder of the day, bringing dinner to the shed himself and taking Seth to shower when everyone else was eating.
Lorcan stopped by his side and watched Seth’s retreating back. “Just checking in. How’s it going?”
“Good. The shed’s comfortable, and Seth’s had quite a bit to eat. We’re coming back from a shower. It’s the first time the poor kid’s had the chance to use hot water and soap in nearly a year, so he really enjoyed it.”
He didn’t bother to add that the omega had been a mess from their mutual jerk-off session.
“Glad to hear that.” Lorcan looked at him expectantly, as if he thought there was more to say.
Assuming word had already filtered to the alpha about Seth’s aggression, he decided to own up to it. It was critical that he be honest with the alpha anyway. Protecting the pack took precedent over all other considerations.
He scratched at his ear. “So, there was a bit of a rocky start to things, actually.” When Lorcan merely raised his eyebrows, Caleb plowed on. “Will brought food and clothing earlier this afternoon, and Seth had a little freak-out.”
Lorcan folded his arms across his chest. “In what way?”
“He growled. Only a little. I put a stop to it immediately, and I swear to you, Alpha, Will was never in any danger.”
“I have no doubt of that. For the record, Will said nothing. It was Finn who caught the lingering scent of stress off his mate. You can imagine how unhappy he was about that.”
“Yes, sir, I can. Is he, ah, looking for retribution?”
Lorcan sighed. “No. He understands that Seth is coming off a hard year of feral living. By the same token, he figures the boy needs a strong hand to keep him in line, help him relearn what it means to live in a pack. I’ve assured him you can handle that job.”
“I’m on it, Alpha. I promise.”
“Good. To that end, I’m taking you off sentry rotation for the foreseeable future. Your prime duty is to assimilate that omega in the pack. I assume he wants that?”
Caleb grimaced. “I don’t think he knows what he wants, sir. From what I can tell, his old pack treated him not much better than Mangus did Will. I’m not surprised he ran away, and I don’t think he believes quite yet that this pack isn’t like that.”
A furious look crossed Lorcan’s face. “I don’t understand how some in our species can treat others so viciously. It’s not even primitive so much as inexplicably cruel. Evil, even.” He nodded once at Caleb. “Do what you have to, take as much time as you need, to help that boy settle in. You need to show him the way his world should be.”
“Sure thing, Alpha, only...”
“What?”
“Now that he’s around you, I’m worried he’ll go into heat before he’s accepted his place here. I don’t know how he’d react to that kind of pressure.” He pursed his lips as he pondered the problem. “He told Will that he’d never been bred. I have no idea if that helps or hurts us timewise.”
