“There has only ever been one ‘ONE’. That’s me. He never replaced me.”
They all looked at Greyson, and he nodded.
“She’s being legit,” he admitted.
Holy shit.
This changed EVERYTHING.
“So you can find him?” Jagger asked.
She nodded.
Zayn couldn’t believe this.
“You knew this all along, and you didn’t…”
Rogue put his hand on the big man’s arm to stop him. He’d do what his wife promised.
“Zayn, he raped and tortured her. She’s afraid. Coming forward is hard when you’ve been broken.”
The big man sighed.
“I’m sorry. You’re right.”
Alyona shared.
“I have his personal phone number. I’m the only one he’s ever given it to. I was to use it when I was embedded here. If I call him, he’ll know it’s me by what I tell him.”
Everyone was getting excited.
“As he would rape and beat me in that cold cell to get me to see him as my savior, he used the words over and over again.”
Everyone was nauseous over what she’d endured, but proud she’d gotten away.
Elizabeth needed to know.
“So you can just call him up?” she asked, and then looked at Greyson. “This would have been nice to know…oh, a while ago.”
She defended her father.
“I just told him two days ago. I just told him when we were doing battle in Boston. He didn’t know. No one knew. It’s my secret shame that I let a man break me.”
All of the women felt for her.
Maura touched her hand.
“I know what that pain feels like to be violated by the enemy, and having to take it for survival. We don’t blame you. You’re a survivor.”
Tears filled her eyes.
“I want to help you. I want your children to be safe. If he gets his hands on any of them, he will hurt them in ways you can’t even imagine.”
And that was horrifying.
“We appreciate you telling us,” Stella said. “That took a lot of courage.”
She wanted to believe that.
