Airport

Somewhere

Thursday

Morning

Thankfully, he had a couple of flights lined up in case he needed a cover. Truthfully, Alexsandr’s hope was to be able to land just outside of New Orleans today, and not tomorrow.

Honestly, he was feeling a little uneasy about this whole thing. Truth be told, the German woman he’d hired to get him intel…

She’d gone missing.

As in she was out of communication, and not responding to his calls, emails, or messages.

That made him twitchy.

How could it not?

She was his contact on the inside of the US, and without her, it was going to be more difficult—not impossible, but difficult.

The bottom line was that he wasn’t sure if she’d taken the money and run, but he needed to get there to find out. When he became suspicious like this, his best plan was to change the original plan.

Alexsandr couldn’t risk his plan collapsing around him. This was YEARS in the making.

While he was supposed to land tomorrow, his gut was telling him that was going to be a huge mistake. It was screaming and he couldn’t ignore it.

Something was up.

This was survival of the fittest, and he wasn’t going down on day one of his revenge plan. He had three people to take down, and a country to tank.

This was about doing this as carefully as possible until he’d managed to get himself assimilated into the American system.

So, he kept those travel plans intact, placing some ordinary person on the plane in his place.

A body double if you would.

Just.

In.

Case.

So, if his plans had been burned, he was going to be slipping in the day before, and not as scheduled. Truthfully, he was betting the Americans would be none the wiser. They weren’t that smart.

But him…

He wasn’t dumb.

Oh, not even close.

You didn’t get to pick up where the Black Butcher left off, and not have one hell of a desire to keep on living. He was currently using his life, and not giving that up any time soon.

That was his bottom line.

While his father and mother would be disappointed in him for not being married to a woman to give him more bloodline, he had more important plans.
