He knew who Duncan was.

“Who were the others for?” he asked.

He thought about it.

“One was for his wife, but I don’t know who the other is for. Someone’s in it,” he admitted. “There’s no name though.”

Ian shared what they’d located.

“We found papers in one of them,” he offered, holding them out.

Out of curiosity, Graham headed their way, and he took the papers from Ian.

They were very old.

As soon as he saw them, he knew what they were.

“It looks to be more pages from the journal. Somehow, a few centuries ago, the main journal on the history of the Granndach family was lost. When it was recovered in the early nineteen hundreds, pages were missing.”

“So we found pages?”

He nodded.

“I know when I was talking with Callen, he told me he wanted to find all the pages as we moved through the construction phase.”

Gryphen knew where this was going.

How?

Ian was giddy.

“So we have a treasure hunt to find the pages?” Ian asked. “So we can put the book back together again.”

Graham was honest.

“I mean, you also have a mystery too. No one knows who is buried in the third crypt.”

Well, hot damn.

“I need to figure this out,” Ian said. “This is going to be awesome!”

Gryphen cleared his throat to remind Ian of what else they’d found down there.

“And a ghost. Let’s not forget that part, Baby.”

Graham immediately knew who they were talking about.

“So you’ve seen her?” he asked.

Ian looked surprised.

“Pardon? It wasn’t our imagination and the wind blowing against the walls that made it sound like weeping?” he asked.

He shook his head.

“No, you saw what you saw, and heard what you heard. All I know is there is a woman who haunts the castle.”

“Who is it?” he asked, fully vested in this now.
