“I’m going to write that one down as soon as I haul my ass out of here,” Gryphen said. “This is where being a Marine comes in handy,” he admitted.

Gryphen jumped up, grabbed onto the sides of the crypt, and used his body strength to pull himself up.

It was effortless as he lifted his body weight with just his arms. They bulged through the flannel shirt, and the whole time, Ian stared.

And lusted after him.

Holy shit.

When Gryphen swung up and was out of the crypt, he noticed that Ian had a look on his face.

Immediately, he looked at his shirt to see if he had a spider or ten all over him.

“What?” he asked, brushing himself off.

Ian was honest.

“Watching you do that makes me want to have sex with you right here,” he stated. “God. I love a strong man with muscles.”

Gryphen lifted a brow.

“A strong man, or THIS strong man, because there is a difference. One gets you a lecture and the other gets you laid. Keep it in mind.”

Ian grinned.

“YOU. That fantasy in my mind was definitely about you, Gryph.”

Yeah, he loved the way Ian always made him feel attractive, even when standing in a crypt, covered in spiderwebs.

He continued brushing himself off.

“Can you make sure I don’t have any stowaways?” he asked, as Ian started scanning his body with the phone light, as he brushed his back and ass off.

“Right there,” Gryphen said. “That’s the spot,” he stated.

Oh, Ian gave it a squeeze because this man made his heart light, and he had an ass you could bounce a quarter off of because it was perfection.

Gryphen turned, ready to make a comment, but he stopped.

As he stood there, he caught something from the corner of his eye. He moved so fast, Ian jumped.

“What?” he asked, looking around.

Gryphen scanned the darkness looking for what he’d seen in his peripheral. Then, he broke the news to the man.

“I just saw something.”

Ian didn’t move.

“You saw something, or you think you saw something? One of those things I can ignore, and the other is going to make me run the fuck out of this SEPULCHER,” Ian admitted.

Gryphen went to open his mouth, and that’s when they both heard it.

Crying.

All around them, there was a distraught woman’s voice, and she was definitely weeping.
