It was spectacular as they climbed them, and more stained-glass windows lined the circular staircase.
When they reached the top, there was a long hallway. There were rooms that were not renovated yet, and they knew they couldn’t stay there.
“I hope there’s a bed in one of these, or I’m calling Callen,” he joked.
Oh, Ian would absolutely sleep on a stone floor with this man.
If he was lucky, there would only be one bed, and that would mean they were sleeping together here too.
His fingers were crossed.
They kept walking past the twenty rooms that weren’t remodeled, and finally found the one that was. It was around a corner, and off by itself.
There was a door plate.
“Master’s Suite,” Gryphen read. He was acutely aware it didn’t say ‘master suite’, but instead, had a completely different meaning.
Oh, Callen was likely behind that play on words, and for a good reason. This was going to be his nest when the Blackhawks were there.
This castle was being remodeled for his queen.
Elizabeth.
Ravensmire was going to be the jewel in her crown. He’d bet on it. B and B his ass. He was betting that they came here often, and it wouldn’t be rented out to anyone ever. He knew Callen, and he was likely building a safety net for their family.
When they pushed the door open, it was, indeed, a finished space. The bed was huge, and the fireplace was also pumping out heat as the sun came in through the stained-glass windows.
The bed was definitely a new acquisition since it looked to sleep about six normal sized people, or four Blackhawks.
Oh, the kinkery that would be going on in here.
And they got to break the bed in.
Sign.
Him.
Up.
“God. This is gorgeous,” Ian said. “I thought vacation, but I didn’t think this kind of vacation.”
“I don’t see any other beds in the place. Are you good with me sleeping with you?” Gryphen asked, not wanting to be forward.
Yes, they were beginning something, but he wasn’t going to assume.
That was bad manners.
Ian stared at him.
“What?” Gryphen asked.
“I was just trying to figure out who to call because you’ve clearly lost your mind. I absolutely want to share a bed with you. That’s a constant, Gryphen.”
He grinned, and the light caught behind him, making him look majestic, and Ian’s body reacted.
God.
He was so madly in love with this man.
