Yeah, it had been so damn good.

“I’ll keep that in mind, Baby,” he said, leaning down to kiss him on the forehead.

Together, they rode in silence for a little while, and then, as the scenery changed, they found themselves heading into a rockier terrain.

There were snowcapped mountains in front of them, and the lights of civilization behind them.

Where the hell were they going?

The limo and Graham took them up into the Northern Scottish Mountains, and the views continued to change.

And that worried him.

Gryphen had no idea where they were going.

For a Marine, that was an issue. This was a long ride, and they’d passed a few hotels near the landing strip, but didn’t stop at them.

Because he was about to freak out, Gryphen pushed the button, and Graham opened the window that had been closed for privacy.

“Yes, Sir?” he asked.

“Where are we staying? There can’t be any hotels up here.”

The man said one word.

“Ravensmire.”

Yeah, the only issue was that while Gryphen had traveled a lot as a Marine, he’d never heard of it. That wasn’t something he could relate to.

“Is it a hotel?” he asked.

The man told him what he could.

“It’s a place where Mr. James wanted me to take you. I think you’ll understand when you see it. As for the distance, don’t worry sir. It’s two kilometers down the road. You’re almost there.”

The window closed, and Gryphen had to wait because it was clear that Graham wasn’t giving him any more information about this location.

Then, he didn’t need to.

As they rounded a bend in the gravel road, that’s when he saw it.

“Oh, shit,” he muttered, his eyes going huge as he took it in.

Ian immediately opened his eyes and sat up to look around. He’d been falling asleep and had heard Gryphen.

“What?” he asked.

The Marine was confused and didn’t answer him. He just stared out the window and knew that this place...

That couldn’t be where they were staying.

Up ahead and in front of them, there was a castle in the middle of the mountains, surrounded by flat land and protection.

“Are you shitting me?” Gryphen muttered.

Ian looked and when he saw it, his eyes went huge too. This was crazy.

“A castle? What the hell?” he asked. “Is that where we’re staying?”
