Graham made note of the sizes in his phone.

“I can figure that out for you. Anything else while I’m in town handling those two things?”

There was a few more things that he needed assistance with on this proposal.

How many times in their lives were they going to get a butler? This was the perfect moment.

“I need a sled. Actually, two.”

Graham grinned.

“This is an easy list. Anything else?” he asked, adding them to his to do list for tomorrow.

Ian thought about it.

“Can you maybe decorate the water down there for a proposal? I’m going to keep him busy the next day or so. I want to take him sledding, end up at the lake, and then ask him to marry me.”

Graham nodded.

“Done. I can move a log over for you both to sit, make some hot chocolate, and string up some lights around the water to make it magical.”

Ian was so happy.

That.

Was.

Perfection.

“Thank you, Graham. I appreciate it. Here’s my cell phone number. Text me when the ring is ready, or if you need me to change something.”

“Don’t worry, Ian. I’ll handle it for you. That is, after all, my duty here at Ravensmire. It’s nothing.”

Oh, that was anything but the truth.

To Ian and Gryphen, this would be everything.

This was the beginning of their lives together, and he wanted it to be special.

From out in the stone hall, Graham heard something. He focused on the door.

“He’s coming,” he said, as Gryphen was heading their way.

That was news to Ian. He couldn’t hear anything, but then again, he wasn’t a soldier or familiar with the sounds that went on here at Ravensmire.

Immediately, Ian went over to a bookshelf and winked at the man.

“Make it look good,” he whispered, and Graham did just that.

“Aye, Ian, the history of Ravensmire is in that big book,” Graham said, pointing just as Gryphen appeared in the doorway. “It will tell you about the castle, the family who built her, and all the lore in between. It’s vast, so it should keep you entertained.”

When he came in, everything was fine. Ian wasn’t right next to the man, no one was missing, and his mate was safe.

Gryphen was stuck on what Saint had said on the phone. The man was good in bed.

“I can’t wait to read it, Graham. Thank you.”

Graham just nodded.
