She laughed.

She had a question.

“Do you feel safe there?”

He sighed.

“Yeah. I do. Thank you for this amazing gift. You’ll never understand how healing this place is. I hope when it’s put back together that you get to see it, and the mystery is solved.”

“Me too, Ian. It’ll be an awesome bed and breakfast.”

“Yeah, that’s not happening. It’s being renovated into a private home. There’s no way they are letting people in here. This is definitely for you and only you.”

“I’m going to propose to Gryphen. Do you think he’ll say yes?”

She snorted.

“Are you kidding? The only thing he likes more than the Marines, is you. You’re his world.”

His heart skipped.

“We want to have a family, Elizabeth. We want to have babies, and start a life. I just need Will to go away for the rest of his existence.”

“Darlin, he’s going to. The Marshalls and FBI are looking for him. I put Harmony and Max Chase on it. They’ll find him for us. When he’s found, I’ll take out the trash.”

“I don’t want to testify. He scares me, and I know he’s evil.”

She reassured him.

“If he comes for me, Ian, I’ll handle him. You just stay in that haunted castle, and keep Ceit, the ghost, busy for me.”

“I can’t stay here forever.”

“No, but when you do come back, The Fort is safe, and so is The Hoover Building. Don’t hide and waste precious time. When you propose, come back, and start planning the wedding. Live. That is the best for you, and a big fuck you for Will.”
