About that.

“Well, it’s haunted too. Gryphen saw the dead woman and heard her singing.”

She couldn’t believe this.

“Oh, Jesus with a tear to the bungee cord. I’m gonna die. This is going to be what does it. It’s not going to be people shooting at me. It’s going to be my own husbands who BOUGHT ME A HAUNTED CASTLE because we all know how much I love ghosts!”

He snorted.

“Gryphen is freaked out. He told me to ask you about Trey, but to do it face-to-face to see you get pale.”

She stared at Callen and Chris who were right there listening to the call.

You are both in so much trouble, she signed, as they began looking everywhere but at her. I am going to kick both of your asses as soon as I hang up!

“Well, this seems like one hell of an adventure,” Elizabeth said, keeping Ian talking.

Frick and Frack were dead men.

As in she was going to put them in that crypt.

TOGETHER.

“So, we went into town, and I got you something. It made me think of you. I hope you think of me when you see it.”

Oh, she would.

“Oh, that’s sweet, Ian. Where did you put your other personality? You know, the Hyde one.”

He snorted.

“God, I miss you. I wish you could be here and see this place with me. We’d have so much fun.”

She laughed.

Yeah, none of that sounded like fun to her. It sounded like an anxiety filled trip to divorce-land.

“Same, Darlin. Continue on the castle, because I will be busting balls as soon as I see the husbands.”

Ian did just that.

“In town, we hit up the church which has an archive of sorts. We found out that Ceit, the woman who was pregnant with Duncan’s child, was waiting for the knight to return from war. They must have had a fight because she was apologizing in the journal entries. Then, the last entry is her cursing Ravensmire, and the bloodline for all eternity.”

“Oh, boy.”

He grinned.

“Basically, she said that the bloodline would forever stand in blood and live with the sins. She put the Voodoo on the man. We think he found another woman when he was off to war, and dumped her while she was carrying his child.”

She gasped.

“That dog!”

“I know, right?” Ian asked.

Elizabeth was glad the man was distracted with Scotland.

“Well, great. We have a haunted, cursed castle. When Callen and Chris go hard, they go hard. Although, I can’t blame her for cursing a man who found someone else. I feel some curses coming on myself.”
