Lucian continued.
“Booth and Raven are done with their case. Booth mentioned they closed it today. We’ll reassign in the morning if we have anything vital that can’t wait until Monday.”
Speaking of the witch…
The non-Littlemoon one.
“How is Raven doing with work?” Julian asked, knowing the man was balancing his own business and work.
Lucian reassured him.
“He’s good. When Booth and Raven work together, they use that witchy thing well. I’m not asking how, but Raven is very intuitive.”
The radio came to life.
“HE. IS. PSYCHIC. YOU’D. THINK. A. BUNCH. OF. PSYCHICS. COULD. FIGURE. THAT. OUT. SINCE. THEY. ARE…WAIT. FOR. IT…PSYCHIC THEMSELVES.”
They all just stared at the radio, knowing the dead man could see them.
“I’LL. BUTT. OUT. NOW. I. MISS. BISHOP. SO. MUCH.”
That was a good plan, and they knew the woman likely didn’t miss him.
Lucian continued.
“Intuitive, psychic, it’s the same thing,” Lucian said. “All I know is he’s good with Booth. They do well when paired together.”
That was a plus.
That led him to the newest and oldest member of their team, the ex-cop.
“And Anders?” he asked. “Is he doing okay?”
A part of Julian didn’t want to know since he was Tori’s hire, and the man annoyed him.
His wife was strictly prohibited from hiring anyone else. She was out of control.
Both Ridge and Lucian stared at each other. Yeah, well, Bodhi’s dad was something.
Ridge went there.
“He’s a challenge.”
God.
He knew he would be. There was no shock in that whole sentence. The only thing Julian felt was longing—longing for his wife to be here to deal with the mess she hired.
She was grounded from doing that, and he had told her just that.
Her hiring was a little different than his. Julian liked a resume and multiple rounds of interviews. Victoria literally just hired people randomly, calling it gut instinct.
Julian sat back and sighed.
“What did he do now?”
Ridge laughed.
Julian always expected the worst-case scenario.
