It was from her bestie.
And lookie there…
They had a big piece to the puzzle.
‘Tor, that number comes back to a shell corporation. It’s owned by a local man. His name is Jesse Thompson. Sound familiar? You didn’t get this from me. That phone number is tied to him. Enjoy.’
She smiled.
“Oh, well, isn’t this a coincidence?”
Tori showed them.
Bishop began laughing, and so did Genesis. They knew what that meant.
They had the person who had lured Jennie to the park. The man must have known his son-in-law killed his daughter. He was playing him like a fiddle.
And them too.
“Well, how about we take a little drive over to the man’s house. I’m going to bet they won’t be happy to see us, but when we give him this information…”
Yeah, they knew.
He was going to panic.
The game was up.
“I’ll take it to the media that the father is involved. We’ll jack this town up,” Lucian said.
Julian laughed.
Well, at least he wasn’t missing out on the fun.
“The man is lucky you guys figured this out. A scorned father? Oh, he’s a dead man.”
“Team, let’s wrap this up. I’d like to say we solved it in a day. I think that’s a record for us,” Tori said. “The women are kicking ass.”
Julian just shook his head.
“Come on, Lucian. Their egos are going to get really big. I hope they fit on the jets.”
The women were ready. They started walking out of the precinct, and Bishop linked her arm with Genesis.
“Hey, we got you. You’re not going down fired. You’re going down taking a state supreme court justice out of the game. You’re going to be remembered forever for this one.”
Yeah, that worked for her.
Then, she wanted one thing.
Out of this town.
ASAP.
This place was a shitshow.
A big one.
