Immediately, he knew it was coming and he laughed over it.

“Do you really want to know?” he asked.

She nodded.

Lucian was honest.

“Like with you, I gave. Ridge is very submissive in the static. His energy is more feminine, which is likely why we mesh so well. Everything is in balance. It was very enthusiastic sex, and we both got off. It was one and done.”

Yeah, well, she wanted more.

“And what’s it like? Is it just like sex? Or is it amplified because of being bonded and in the static?”

Lucian would never lie to his wife.

She and Wynter were allowing them those moments in his head, so he would forever be grateful.

“It was…amazing. I felt so connected to his soul. It was like we came together and were one. It made me incredibly strong there. I was able to go deep into the static where I couldn’t go before. I’m getting to Oracle’s level. It’s definitely amplified. Emotions there are at a different frequency. It’s a hard thing to explain.”

As he spoke, Bishop was watching him.

Since they were touching, he could feel her emotions. It wasn’t the same as with Ridge, but he knew she was trying to compare, and that was the wrong way to look at it.

“It’s not the same. You’re both different, and it is not even comparable. Don’t think about it as in you versus him. You are on a whole different pinnacle that he won’t achieve, and he’s at a different level because it’s in the static.”

She didn’t want to be replaced.

“Am I safe?”

He held her hands.

“Yes. I’m never leaving you, Bish. You’re my wife, and we’ve been through so much. Only, what if it’s you in danger, and going into the static with Ridge saves my wife and mother of our child? Why wouldn’t I do that?”

He had a point.

She would accept that.

“Then, I’m good. I don’t think I want details. I will say I’m glad you and Ridge have each other. I hope being apart isn’t going to be difficult.”

He had more to tell her.

“He’s buying the house next door.”

She stared at him.

At first, he suspected she was going to tell him no. Only, Bishop surprised him once more.

“Okay. Can we take down the fence, build a big ass playhouse for the girls, and maybe get a pool?”

He laughed.

“Wynter said the same thing.”

She smiled.

“I think I can adjust to this.”

“Because our souls are bonded, Bish, we have to come together daily. After our jaunt into the static, I felt better. I mean, I’m exhausted, but I don’t feel anxious like I did last time we came back from the static.”
