She wanted to look like a princess.

When Bexley finally walked in, Raven beside her, she was confused.

“Where are Bishop and Tori?” she asked.

Bexley explained.

“They rushed off to save the next victim. Lucian and Ridge saw her being murdered in the static, and they had to get to her.”

Her eyes went huge.

“Tori just texted. They resuscitated her and are on the way to the hospital. They saved her life.”

Hailey gasped.

“Oh, god! Is she going to be okay?”

Bexley nodded.

“They believe so. They feel terrible about having to miss this, and if you want to wait a while...”

Hailey laughed.

“Are you kidding? They saved someone’s life. I can pick out my own dress. I’m glad they made it there in time.”

Raven smiled.

“I happen to be very good at dress shopping if you’d let me help.”

They both looked at him.

He actually laughed.

“Okay, I’m terrible at it, but I can give my opinion and I know that I’m not the groom, so it’s not bad luck.”

Hailey hugged them both.

“I’m good with you guys helping me. I already picked a couple dresses. I want you guys to help me pick it. The whole goal is to make Bodhi weep.”

Raven rubbed his hand up and down her back.

“Gotcha. Make the man cry. I know the theme now, and I’m good.”

The woman who owned the boutique came out, and escorted her to the back. When they sat, Raven dropped his arm over Bexley’s shoulders.

“I bet you’d look gorgeous in all of these dresses.”

She rested her head on his shoulder.

“The wife of a witch wouldn’t wear white to the wedding. She’d wear something spicy.”

He nuzzled her.

“I wouldn’t care what you were wearing. Marrying you, Bex, is going to be the final highlight of my life. I have my son, and I have you. I’m blessed.”

So was she.

As Hailey came out, three minutes later, she spun in a circle.
