“I won’t let anything happen to him. I love him too. He’s safe. I’ll get him through the static and home again to you.”
She had to put her faith in him.
“Just do it before I change my mind on this circle jerk,” she said.
Lucian laughed.
“God, I hope.”
That made Bishop snort.
Her husband was something.
He was so calm and collected despite going into the static to have sex with his partner in this. The two of them were insane.
This whole thing was insane.
“Call my wife,” Ridge said. “Let her watch so she feels better.”
This was bizarre.
Oracle had better be right that this ‘gift’ was going to be vital, or she was going to have harsh words with Avalon.
There was laughter, and they all heard it.
Lucian lifted a brow.
“Yeah, I was thinking about her. Sue me. She’s a troublemaker!” she said, talking to no one specifically.
Instead of saying anything else, Bishop dialed Wynter, who was going to be landing in a couple of hours with Julian.
When she answered, she had earbuds in, and she was looking just as nervous.
“Ready?” Bishop asked.
She nodded.
“Please make sure they’re safe,” she said, keeping her voice low.
It was clear she was not letting Julian in on what was going down. The man would freak out if he knew two men he cared so much about were going to be risking something so great for unknown results.
He’d want to know why, and they couldn’t tell anyone about Oracle.
No.
One.
Her safety was paramount.
Bishop turned the phone so Ridge could see his wife.
“Don’t enjoy it too much!” Wynter said, and he winked at her.
“I love you. See you in a bit.”
Ridge focused on the man sitting cross-legged in front of him. Their knees were touching, and their hands were on each other’s thighs, connecting them.
“Ready?” Lucian asked, his body already feeling the energy coming from his partner.
