He tried to think about his wife.

Oracle stopped him.

You’re not really having sex if you succumb. This is all in your head. Think of it as a sexy fantasy. It’s not cheating. It’s a way to connect. If it bothers you so much, explain to your wives. They won’t be angry. I promise.

Lucian needed more.

He needed Ridge, who, apparently, was willing and able.

Yessssssss!

“Who is going to die. I can feel it. I’m getting flashes of things. Bodies. A predator. What’s going on?” he asked, taking his time like Ridge asked.

God. You’re teasing me. I’m so hard, Lucian. I have never felt like this. It’s like the perfect feeling.

He was aware.

He was feeling it too.

Oracle let them feel what they were, and she helped keep Lucian in control. The next time they came here, well, someone would be cumming.

She couldn’t babysit them.

She was busy.

“Someone hunts Genesis. I’ve kept her hidden for as long as I could. She doesn’t have much time left. When you asked for more, I gave it to you because I need you to be stronger. For what’s coming, you’re going to have to do battle with someone who is almost as strong as me, Lucian. Ridge is the best weapon I could give you. He’s a tuner and anchor. He's all you need here in the static. Practice and get stronger.”

He was surprised at that information.

“That’s impossible. You’re the strongest psychic.”

“I was. My job here is not done, and neither is yours. I need your help. It’ll come to fruition, and you’ll have to make sacrifices. We all will.”

She moved around Lucian.

Ridge was there, and he was doing everything in his power not to be too close to her.

It was her eyes.

They were glowing and empty.

It freaked him out.

“Avalon. You’re scaring him,” Lucian said, pulling him against the back of his body and turning to keep himself between them.

That was torture.

Big-time.

Avalon focused on Lucian instead.

“You have to protect Genesis. She has to move from here. This is years in the making. Keep her safe in Salem. I’ll be coming. I promise.”

Oracle started backing up.

“The more you fight that joining of auras, the harder it will be. Talk to your wives and be honest.”

Lucian didn’t think they had a choice.
