Because he trusted him, Lucian threw his doors wide open, and the room seemed to explode around them.

It was definitely different.

They were in the static deeper than they’d ever been before. Their auras were joined in it.

They were one.

As the room seemed to stop wavering, Lucian found them standing there, and they were holding hands. With them was Avalon Miller.

Oracle.

“Lucian, we meet again,” she said as she glowed ethereally. “I see you brought Ridge with you. Taking your new gifts out for a spin?”

She moved closer, and Ridge took a step back, feeling her energy. It was overwhelming like Lucian’s and he was already holding the man in focus.

Immediately, Lucian put himself in front of the man to protect him.

“I won’t hurt you. You’re his anchor and tuner. You’re now a part of him. You two are basically one, and your energies need each other.”

Lucian needed to know.

“What happened?” he asked. “Why can I now talk like this in Ridge mind?”

Oracle shared.

“You’re connected. Your gift is growing. It’s like when I could do it with you, Maura, Jagger, Nate…your gift is intensifying and he’s the reason. You can’t be as strong as me, Lucian, but the two of you together can be almost as strong. Trust me. It’s a good thing.”

Uh, no.

It wasn’t.

Because with the gift came feelings he didn’t know existed. What he wanted was to jump Ridge, and take him in a sweaty round of sex. With their auras connected, he was lusting after another person who was NOT his wife.

And he knew Ridge was feeling the same thing. He was standing behind him, and he could feel the sexual desire coming off of him.

“It’s not when I’m a married man, and I’m kissing another married man. Why do I want to have sex all of the sudden? On the other plane, I’m good. I just need to be connected by touch.”

She focused on Ridge.

Then, she shared.

“You’re in his mind, so you already know that he’s not sorry that you’re feeling it. In fact, he’s fighting hard not to let you,” she admitted.

Lucian could tell.

He could see what Ridge wanted, and that was a bed, them, and sex.

“Why?” he asked, again.

She shrugged.

“Because everything here is magnified. This place, this static, is energy. On the outside, he’s attracted to you when you go into the static. Once here, his body isn’t so much real, and neither is yours. It’s your mind, Lucian. He’s here with us in your mind.”

Ridge touched his back, and an explosion of heat rushed through him.

His dick also stood at attention.

Oracle was patient.
