She was amused.

“I think I can take that advice. We picked the cake, and next is to see the venue. I really wanted to call to say thank you. You shouldn’t have.”

Tori blinked.

“I shouldn’t have what?”

Hailey clued her in.

“The wedding planner.”

She laughed.

Honestly, she forgot about it. Truthfully, it was Bexley’s idea, and they went in on it. Why not let the woman have the whole experience?

Plus, they planned on being drunk most of this girl’s weekend—minus the pregnant woman.

“That’s well deserved. I thought someone accused me of sneaking in and getting cake. It wasn’t me, ex-copper.”

Hailey loved this woman.

She was so much like a sister that Hailey knew she was blessed.

“Well, thank you. Don’t forget we have a dress to pick out later.”

She reassured her.

“I won’t. If something comes up, half of us will be there. We love you, Hails. Enjoy the process and don’t worry. We have your back.”

She was having a blast.

“Oh, I will. Now, if you don’t mind, I’m going to go molest an ME and be completely irresponsible now that I’m off the clock.”

Tori snorted.

“Do it good. Make him walk funny. That’s how we do it in our family.”

Oh, well, that she could do.

“Again, thank you, Tori. Tell Bishop and the rest I appreciate it. You guys are amazing.”

“Love you, Hails.”

When Genesis appeared at her side, she ended the call to go back to work-mode.

“Trouble?” Genesis asked.

Tori grinned.

“Well, not unless handcuffing an ME to a headboard and having your wicked way with him is bad.”

She shook her head.

“Not my kink. If you’ve seen one man in handcuffs, you’d seen them all.”

Tori patted her on the back.

“I can see why.”
