Thankfully, no one was there.
Well, no one living.
Standing not far from the water, Tori was able to see the dead women.
BINGO.
They were here.
“The victims are in a cluster and are to your left,” Tori offered, trying to help Genesis acclimate.
She glanced that way, and saw nothing. It appeared she was going to have to take Tori’s word for it.
As they approached, the three ghosts were weeping. They were also flashing between their death states.
Oh, boy.
This was going to be fun.
“Hey,” Tori said, talking to them.
The women looked over at them.
“I’m Victoria. I’m here to help you. This is Detective Manning, and you’re with my two spirit guides now,” she said. “That’s my brother Trey, and my sister-in-law, Bethany. We’re here to help you.”
Genesis waved.
What else was she supposed to do?
This was all weird, but she was putting her faith in the woman since she didn’t seem to be lying.
“Where are we?” the one woman asked. Water bubbled out of her mouth, and it was dripping from her ears and nose too.
Yeah, she definitely drowned.
That was for sure.
“Someone hurt you. I need to find them. Can you help me?” she asked.
They looked at each other.
“I don’t know,” the one said.
Tori needed their names to make sure.
“Can you introduce yourselves to me?” she asked. “I don’t want to assume. Which one of you is Keri?” she inquired, knowing this would give them the positive ID that they needed.
They didn’t have time to wait on the ME.
The one woman raised her hand.
“I am Keri.”
Tori looked at the other two.
“Are either of you Aimee or Tiff?” she asked.
They both raised their hands.
