She stopped him.
“You need to make that reconnection with him, Lucian. If he’s vital to your gift, he has to stay in your world. I’m not threatened. As long as you still love me…”
He moved into the shower, and held her. In the steaming water, she knew the truth.
This man did love her.
“My third eye is open, and I need him.”
She ran her hands up and down his back as they stood together in the shower.
“Wouldn’t it be your second eye? You know since…”
He stared at her.
“Still too soon, Bish.”
She laughed.
It helped reassure him to the point he could be honest with her.
“I love him, too, Bishop. He’s a part of me. We’re bonded psychically.”
She was fine with that as long as they had their life together. She could see he wasn’t exaggerating. The energy coming off of him…
He was struggling.
“Are you worried that I’m going to be upset or it’s going to ruin our marriage?”
He didn’t say anything.
“Lucian, my love, it’s not going to happen. I can feel how difficult this is for you. If you need to kiss him again, I’m good, especially if it gets you in and out of the static and keeps us safe. I know how dangerous your gift is alone, and I also know who you love and are bound to by our marriage. I’m not jealous.”
He was honest.
“I feel like I’ve lost a part of me. The distance…”
“It’s because your energies need each other. Go fix this with him. Don’t let it damage what you have. You’re his partner in a lot of things. A business, a psychic gift, and friendship. Go talk to him, and work it out. When you come to a solution, everything will be okay.”
He opened his arms, and she went into them. There, he found calm and patience.
“While you might not be my anchor psychically, Bish, never doubt that you’re my anchor in our marriage.”
She kissed the side of his neck.
“Then, go get your tuner. I’m not feeling threatened. Ridge is family, and I love him. Again, if you kiss him because that’s what your gift needs you to do, I’m not going to be upset.”
He nuzzled her.
“So we are good?”
She slapped him on his bare wet ass.
“You’re my husband. Of course, we’re good. I’m not standing between you and Ridge. You’re best friends. Go fix it with him.”
He would.
“Thank you for being mine, Bish.”
