Ditto.

Bexley knew what she needed to do.

“I’ll text Tori what we found. It’s weird that his wife is also missing. Do you think he killed her too, and no one’s found the body yet? I know the other remains were trapped under the ice so maybe she is too.”

Raven shrugged.

“It’s possible.”

Bexley was pretty sure that was a horrible way to die. Rattling off a text to Tori, she sent it to her boss to update her on what they found out during the interview.

It didn’t take long for Tori to reply.

‘Oh, I’m willing to bet that he’s up to his eyeballs in something. I just don’t know if I buy he’s the killer. In my past experiences, this would smell like a setup. Don’t worry about his missing wife. She’ll turn up. If it’s not him doing this, we need to look for someone who hates him a whole hell of a lot. Be safe, and good job—V.’

Well, that was the truth.

She showed Raven, and he agreed.

“All I know is that I wouldn’t be shocked if a bunch of women banded together to kill him for being a douchebag. If he doesn’t end up dead…that’s going to be a miracle.”

She laughed.

“That’s why men should stick to one woman.”

He picked up her fingers and kissed her knuckles with so much tenderness.

“How could I love anyone else? You’re my Bex, and you created me in your writing world. We were made to be together.”

That was the truth.

Only, she never imagined when she created that fictional character on her computer screen, that it was possible he was real.

Raven was her gift, and she was going to make sure he knew it for the rest of his life. She carried his heart and his tattoo on her arm for a reason.

They were a matched set.

When he stared deep into her eyes, Bexley giggled.

“Mr. Davies, know what else I created in my writing world?” she asked, leaning over to whisper in his ear the sexy things she thought up.

His eyes went huge.

It appeared that his woman was healed and interested in getting back on that horse.

Errrrr…witch.

Glancing over, he put his fork down.

“We gotta get married and soon. That’s a whole lot of sin to be living in and not be a married couple.”

She snorted.

Oh, her wicked witch…

He had no idea.

She might do a quickie wedding, but she was going to make it a honeymoon to remember.
