As if she’d planned it all, she pulled her badge and dropped it on the counter for him to see.

The look on his face…

Priceless.

“Did that kill it? Asking for the law enforcement sitting here waiting to talk to you about your missing girlfriend while you’re talking erections and shit like that.”

Score one for the ladies. He’d walked right into that one, now didn’t he?

Bill blinked.

“What?” he asked.

To reinforce it, Bishop pulled her badge too and did the same thing.

“Fuck,” he said.

“Surprised?” Bishop asked.

He recovered fast.

“Yeah, they let hot ladies be cops? That’s freaking sexy as hell. Cuff me, Officers.”

Bishop being Bishop, wasn’t playing.

She grabbed the man by the neck, shoved him down onto the counter, and whispered in his ear as everyone around them gasped.

“You won’t like me getting rough, Bill. I’m going to bet I’ll have you crying in two minutes. Now, if you don’t drop that machismo, I’m going to reach into your chest, root around with my bare hand, and rip it out for you.”

That seemed to work.

He jerked his head away, and moved back a full step to put space between them.

Well, that set the tone.

Tori was up.

“Tell us about your missing girlfriend, Bill. You know, the one you called the missing person report in on. We hear you didn’t let her out of your sight. How did she go missing then?”

He was confused.

It took him a second.

“Wait! Did you find her? Was she with that man she was fucking behind my back?” he asked.

Instead of telling him that she was dead, they went there.

“What man?” Bishop asked.

He laughed.

“The dude she was sleeping behind my back with like I just said!” he said, angrily. “She stripped for him, and he took it to bed! He stole my girl!”

It was funny how a mood could change so fast.

The smiling Casanova was gone, and this was a whole other ugly breed.

“He picked her up in the club, and they were a thing for months! I didn’t know anything about it either!”
