None at all.
This man was her soulmate.
She knew it.
As he slowly opened his eyes, Bodhi found Hailey staring down into his face, and she was watching him with so much love and adoration.
It made his heart skip.
“I have never loved you more,” he admitted.
Hailey felt the same.
“Every day, I’m blessed that I found you,” she admitted. “How could I live without you, Bo?” she asked, being honest with him.
Not that long ago, she was lost.
He found her and made her feel again.
“We don’t have to worry about anything but being happy,” he said. “And right now, I’m damn giddy.”
Oh, well, then she had news for him.
They.
Weren’t.
Done.
Hailey wanted more. She wanted this to be the weekend he’d never forget.
Since he was giving her a wedding weekend, he was getting a honeymoon one.
“Mr. Carvil, your wife-to-be needs you. You’ve laid around plenty.”
He laughed.
“Oh, well, I love a bossy, demanding woman in bed,” he said, playing along. “Let me show you how much,” he said, rolling to reverse their positions.
“Yes, please,” she said as he began kissing his way down her body, swirling his tongue around her belly button. When he paused to talk to his child, tears of joy filled her eyes.
Hailey loved being a mom, and now, she was getting that wish too.
“I love you, my son,” he said. “I promise that I’ll only make choices that will keep your heart safe, and I’ll never risk you or your mommy. I can’t wait to hold you,” he added.
Her heart skipped.
It was clear that Bodhi was hurting over what had happened between him and his father.
He was aching over having a brother he never knew about.
Only, he didn’t want to talk about it, and she couldn’t force him. When he was ready, she’d be there for him.
“You’re going to be an amazing dad,” she promised.
He looked up.
“Do you think?”
