“Bish, Baby, there is a huge ass billboard outside your hotel that says it’s open all day. The only woman of loose morals I want shaking her ass at me is my wife.”

She snorted.

Oh, he was damn lucky he added that part. She’d go shit nuts if a stripper was all over him.

She was old fashioned like that.

“Good save, Pirate. Good save.”

It had been.

Now, they needed to get down to work.

Somehow, there was no way this was going to be a walk in the park.

Well, unless it was the park where the first woman went missing.

Yeah, that park.

Chapter Eight

Littlemoon Investigations

Saturday

Nine A.M.

O h, this was the last thing he wanted to be dealing with, but he understood how important it was that they settled this before it became even worse. Right now, his company was a mess.

In a way, he was to blame. How was this nightmare his fault?

Well, that was easy.

Julian Littlemoon tried to do something good, and he went into business with his siblings.

On top of that, he gave them shares in the business.

That, for him, was the right thing to do, but unfortunately, it left a sister out. Since Lianna wasn’t with them on the East Coast, he opted to not include her.

Now, looking back, he could see that wasn’t kind, and that bothered him.

She was a Littlemoon, even if she did do Claire dirty. After he thought it through, he realized that he should have given her a stake.

Maybe not as big as the others, but one, nonetheless.

Then, maybe, she would have had income coming in each month, instead of having to run to them. It wasn’t that he didn’t want her there.

No.

He loved Lianna.

It was that she was making it difficult to get work done. Basically, she was stirring it up by just breathing.

Space between her and Claire was definitely a necessity at this point.

Julian just wanted this mess resolved.

What he wanted to do was fly across the country to be with his wife as she worked a case.
