“Thank you!” he shouted. “I’ve perfected kissing,” Ridge said, hearing him think about it. “I never thought you’d be commentating on it.”
It appeared Lucian was getting stronger.
They weren’t even in the same room.
Your third eye has to be open too, Ridge. That might be why you have no control there. You’re open for me, and only me.
He was fine with that.
Is this connection only with me? Can you reach Bishop or anyone else?
They both held their breaths as they waited and he tried.
Keep practicing.
Only, that was Oracle.
Who were they waiting for?
BISHOP.
Lucian was trying to reach her.
Nothing.
You try. See if you can call to Oracle and your wife.
Ridge came back into the room, and shook his head when he couldn’t contact either of them.
“I don’t think I have that gift. I think I’m using yours when I do it. I may be your tuner and open for you, but you’re the stronger one, Lucian.”
Yeah…
Him and Ridge…
There were connected.
Ridge sat back down by his friend, and the second they reconnected by touch, that anxious feeling of separation anxiety disappeared.
“This is going to make going to our separate homes at night, and weekends difficult.”
“Weekend booty calls in the static?” Ridge joked.
Only, Lucian knew the truth.
That might be the only way for them to survive. Until they knew the parameters of this ‘gift’, they had to find out.

Interview Hunting
W hen they arrived at the courthouse, they were disappointed to see that while some attorneys were there, the woman who called in the missing person report on her friend, Aimee Lucas, was not.
It made sense since it was a Saturday, and most courthouses weren’t open, unless there were special sessions being held.
