She snorted.

Then, reassured him.

“I’m not threatened by what you have with him, Ridge. I know we have something special too. You have a psychic bond. I have what we vowed and have been through. I’m not going to make you choose.”

Wynter was telling the truth. She’d saved him.

She had saved his ass in life, and in love.

“Again, give him some time. If I know Bishop, she’s talking him down now. Just let him have some space.”

“Okay, Wyn. I trust you.”

Only, she wasn’t done trying to lighten the moment so her husband didn’t get even more freaked out.

“So you came, huh?” she said, teasing him. “Was it good for you?”

God.

He loved his wife.

She could bust his balls over this, but instead, she was just teasing him. There was no way he would ever let her go.

“Apparently,” he said. “Only, it wasn’t so good for Lucian since we might break up.”

She reassured him.

“He’ll be okay. Imagine how you would have felt if it was reversed?”

He joked back because he was scared.

“Giddy?”

She snorted.

“I love you, Ridge. Don’t worry about this. I’m getting on a plane to come to you. I’ll be there by tonight. I’ll talk to Lucian if he doesn’t figure this out.”

He had tears again.

“I’m afraid he’ll shove me out of his life, Wyn. We’re business partners. It shouldn’t be awkward. He and I share so much, and if we’re now bonded by the opening of his third eye…”

She understood.

“He can talk to me in his mind.”

She blinked.

“Pardon?”

He just nodded.

Oh, she was absolutely getting there. Her husband needed her.

“We’ll discuss that later. I’ll get there as soon as I can. Just breathe, and Bishop and I will handle this.”

He knew he could trust his wife.

“Thank you, Wynter. I love you.”
