That made her laugh.

“Bo, do you want a job?” she asked. “I like employees who are calm. We can use more people like that,” she joked.

Then, because she knew who was the second spiciest person on her ‘team’, she looked over at Bishop.

The woman laughed.

“Hey, first of all, I’m calm. I was ready to pick those handcuff locks and kick an old man’s ass. You saw me chilled out. Secondly, you already own my husband. You don’t need two Monroes.”

They were aware.

While Bodhi appreciated the offer, he was honest.

“I have a job, and ironically, I seem to work with all of you all of the time as it is. Now I know why Honor is always twitchy.”

He wasn’t wrong.

Because she wanted to let the couple off the hook, so they could make memories, Tori hugged Hailey.

“Go enjoy the experience. You get to do it with him, and call us later. We’ll go with you for the dress. We’ll make sure we’re there for you.”

She hugged all of them.

Hailey had won the lottery when it came to a job and family.

Because she wanted to spend time with him, Hailey grabbed Bodhi’s hand, and they raced off to a rental car.

When they were gone, Tori got serious.

“Okay, it’s time we get working. Bish and I are going with the detective to the morgue.”

Bishop’s husband was curious.

“For?” Lucian asked. “I don’t like my wife getting in trouble. When she does, I have to bail her out, and remind her that she’s a cop on maternity leave.”

Bishop was having fun.

Lucian was not ruining that.

“Oh, go get partially naked with Ridge and leave me alone,” she joked.

“YAY!” Ridge said, winking at his partner.

Only, that had someone’s attention.

The detective looked back and forth between them trying to figure it out.

Yeah, she was confused.

“Do I ask about that, or is someone going to answer at some point?” she inquired.

Bishop snorted.

“We’ll tell you on the way. It’s a long psychic story,” she admitted.

Lucian stopped her.

“You’re funny, wife,” he said. “Maybe I shouldn’t give you this,” he said, reaching into his brief case to pull out something he knew she would want.
