Then, thunderous applause erupted.

Keir smiled with relief, the tension of the past weeks finally beginning to ease. He turned toward the control room, his eyes seeking Cat.

She emerged a moment later, flushed with victory, her team trailing behind her like triumphant warriors. Their eyes met across the crowded room, and Keir felt his heart swell with pride and love.

As Cat made her way to him, the crowd parted, whispers of awe following in her wake. Keir held out his hand, drawing her close as soon as she reached him.

“You did it, love,” he murmured, pressing a kiss to her temple. “You saved us all.”

Cat beamed up at him, her eyes shining. “We did it,” she corrected. “Together.”

Keir turned to address the crowd, his arm still wrapped protectively around Cat’s waist. “Ladies and gentlemen, I believe a proper introduction is in order. This is Catrina Reeves, the brilliant mind behind the Phoenix Protocol – and the woman who just saved Sharpe Drakon Games from what could have been a catastrophic attack.”

Another round of applause filled the room. Cat blushed, unused to such attention, but Keir could feel the pride radiating off her.

As the initial excitement began to die down and security started ushering people out of the room, Beck approached, a grim satisfaction on his face.

“We got him, boss,” he reported. “Feds are moving in on Grimes’s location as we speak. Between the evidence Cat uncovered and his very public attempt at corporate sabotage, he’s going away for a long time.”

Keir nodded, a weight lifting from his shoulders. “Good work, Beck. Make sure our legal team is on top of this. I want the book thrown at him.”

As Beck moved off to handle the aftermath, Keir turned back to Cat. She looked exhausted but exhilarated, the adrenaline of their victory still coursing through her.

“What do you say we get out of here?” he suggested softly. “I think we’ve both earned a little peace and quiet.”

Cat nodded gratefully. “That sounds perfect.”

They slipped out a side entrance, avoiding the press that had begun to gather at the news of the dramatic events. In the back of Keir’s private car, Cat leaned against him, her eyes drifting closed.

“I still can’t quite believe it,” she murmured. “We actually did it.”

Keir pressed a kiss to the top of her head. “I never doubted you for a second, love. You’re extraordinary.”

As they drove through the bustling streets of New York, Keir’s mind raced with possibilities. The threat of Obsidian was neutralized and the launch – despite its dramatic interruption – had been a resounding success. And Cat... his brilliant, beautiful mate had proved herself beyond his wildest dreams.

The moment they got back home, Keir followed behind Cat to their bedroom. He pulled her into his arms and gave in to his need for his mate.

He kissed deeply, slowly undressing her. He leaned down and took one of her pebbled nipples into his mouth. His tongue twirled around it before he sucked hard. Cat arched into his touch, moaning and gripping his shoulder with one hand while moving the other down to his cock.

“Keir,” she moaned.

Keir grunted as she reached between them and wrapped her hand around his erection. She moved her hand up and down and smiled when Keir groaned at her touch.

Seconds later, both of them were completely nude and kissing like neither could get enough of the other. Keir knew he was absolutely addicted to Cat. Kissing her was like a dose of adrenaline.

“I can’t get enough of you,” he growled.

“Don’t ever stop,” she moaned, positioning his erection at her entrance.

He sank into her with a powerful thrust. He groaned and held still for a moment.

“Keir, move,” she said breathlessly. She was so beautiful. So hot and tight. Every time they had sex felt like the first time. Keir had a hard time controlling himself.

“You’ve gotten a little bossy, kitty Cat,” he laughed before kissing her.

As he began a slow rhythm, he continued to devour her mouth. Keir’s body burned from the need to have her. Every thrust and every movement made her pussy tighten around him and his control slipped by the second. He loved Cat. Loved her more than he ever thought possible. And he knew he would treasure and protect her with his life.

She held onto his shoulders, whispering to him how much she loved his touch.
