His eyes grew darker as he put his hands on her hips to direct her onto his cock. He kissed her and guided her up and down on his shaft. “You feel so good,” he groaned against her mouth.

She moved up and down, savoring the feel of his entering and leaving, filling and emptying. He pulled her down hard on him and she rocked against his hips. He cursed and tightened his grip on her, and she moaned as his pulsing cock inside her pushed her over the edge into another orgasm. They cried out against each other’s mouths, clinging to one another until he leaned back, gasping for breath.

“You are an amazing woman, Anna.”

She collapsed onto his chest, unable to hold herself upright. He ran his hands slowly up and down her back. Her eyes closed, and he held her tightly as they caught their breath.

Tony cursed from the couch and Seth stiffened. Anna opened her eyes and looked up to see Tony staring at the doorway behind her. She sat up and saw Alex towering in the doorway, arms crossed and his jaw clenched. His eyes were on fire.

His gaze hardened when it landed on her. Is he jealous? I can take care of him, too. She offered him her practiced smile and started to stand, but his frown deepened and she froze, halfway out of Seth’s lap.

“Kurt, take Anna to bed,” Alex said in a stern voice, not moving his gaze away from hers. “Now.”

Kurt laughed and said something in German. Alex spun around and glared at his brother. Kurt stopped mid-word.

Anna blinked, unable to move. Seth pushed her away gently and she straightened. Kurt picked up her clothes, grabbed her hand, and pulled her to the door. Alex stared over her head and he moved aside for Kurt and her to leave. As the door closed behind them, Alex started shouting in German.

“Why is he angry?” Anna asked softly as they walked into Kurt’s room.

He frowned and shook his head. “I have no idea. We were all enjoying ourselves. I do not see why he would be upset. You were enjoying yourself, weren’t you?”

“Yes.” Anna smiled. “Very much so. Were you?”

Kurt wrapped his arms around her. “Ja. You are a fascinating woman. Watching you is like watching a beautiful dance. You are so graceful.” He chuckled. “A man can only enjoy himself so much before he needs a break. Watching you is almost as good as having you.”

“Thank you.”

“I will ask Vati what is up my brother’s ass tomorrow. He has never cared about my activities before. He usually encourages it.”

They settled into bed and watched TV for a while, then made love one more time before falling asleep.

Chapter 23

The next afternoon, Anna was curled up on her chair near the window, reading, and Ian knocked and walked into her room. “Devin wants you to get your necklace fixed today.”

Anna glanced at the fireplace mantle where she’d carefully set the necklace after getting it from Wilhelm the other day. “Okay. When do you want to go?”

He shook his head. “You’re supposed to drive yourself.”

She stared at him. “Me... drive?” Yes, she had her license, but rarely used it. She hadn’t even taken the driving test. Master Jack had given her a few lessons over the course of several weeks, took her downtown to the Department of Motor Vehicles and, after she’d given some man a blowjob, was handed her license. Master Jack only let her use a car on rare occasions. Very rare. “I... Okay.” She didn’t want to disappoint Devin, but the whole idea of driving made her nervous.

Thirty minutes later, using the car’s navigation system, Anna pulled the gold Lexus into a small, run-down shopping center and looked around. This is where Devin wants me to get my jewelry fixed? Why would he send her to such a place?

Anna located the shop and walked inside. A bell jangled as the door opened and an old man with wild gray hair sat behind a glass counter, polishing a watch.

She smiled at the old man. “Hi. Devin Andersen sent me to have my necklace fixed.” She held the necklace out and the man peered at it over half-moon glasses.

“You are Anna?” He spoke with a thick accent, but it wasn’t German.

Anna nodded.

He squinted at her and then took the necklace from her hand. “Twenty minutes.” He turned and disappeared into the back of the store.

Anna walked back outside into the sunshine to wait. The shopping center included a liquor store, a coin-op laundry, and a convenience store with a single gas pump that appeared to be broken. The shop windows were dirty, except for the liquor store’s, which had several neon lights hanging behind it. She shivered as a man walked out with a small brown paper bag and leered at her while he climbed into an old black sedan.

Twenty minutes later, she walked back into the store, but the man wasn’t behind the counter. She wandered around the store, marveling at the wide variety of jewelry. Huge gold pendants of sports teams, delicate diamond solitaire earrings, and thick gold chains all crammed into the same area. There was no real organization of jewelry types. Just random sparkles inside glass cases.

Ten minutes later, the man still hadn’t reappeared. Anna stepped to the counter closest to the open door at the back of the store. “Hello?”
