“Why do you say that?” Chase asked, glancing back at the table.
“They haven’t seen her dance yet, but once they do, this will be the most popular item.”
Chase tamped down his jealousy. “You’ve seen her dance?”
Damian nodded. “Before I donated, Martin gave me a tour. She’s . . . entrancing.”
“I’m sure she is.”
“You haven’t seen her dance yet? I thought you two were serious. You didn’t sneak in to see her?”
Chase clenched his jaw to keep himself from spouting out something he’d regret. After a moment,

Damian nodded, expression unchanged. “I would imagine.”
Grace appeared at his side. “Oh, what fun! The pointe shoes!” She caressed the satin gently and
smiled up at Chase. “Are you going to make a bid?”
Chase shrugged and glanced at Damian. “Not necessary, is it? Since I get the ballerina, herself.”
Grace laughed and seemed to notice Damian. “You look familiar.” She held out her hand. “Grace
Ralston.”
Chase frowned. Where on earth had they met?
“Damian Sinclair.” He took Grace’s hand and kissed the back, flashing a bright smile. “I believe
you hosted the Ballet Donor’s party a few months ago.”
Grace’s lips tipped up into a smile. “Yes, that was my home. I remember you now. You didn’t stay
long.”
“It had been a long day and Sabrina looked unwell, so I offered to take her home.”
“That was very kind of you. She was having a tough time back then.” Grace put her hand on
