himself that she was under Damian’s spell.
“Sabrina,” Chase said, keeping his voice gentle and low. He didn’t want to appear threatening,
either to her or to Damian, as it might incite her anger. Anger, Theo told him, would trigger her
Immortal side. Love would trigger her human side and that’s what he needed. He held his hand out.
“Sabrina . . .”
Her eyes narrowed and she took a step back. Damian smiled. Chase resisted the urge to punch him
in the face.
“Sabrina, you know me,” Chase said, soft but urgent. He stepped forward. “I’m your husband.”
Damian snorted.
Chase took a deep breath as Ethan growled behind him. He had to stay calm. He took another step

“Sabrina . . .” Richard began, but she moved quicker than Chase could believe. She wrapped her
hand around Richard’s neck and pushed him back against the SUV. He hit hard and slumped to the
ground. Ethan and Lance moved forward and she jumped toward Lance, wrapping her arms around
his neck and used her body weight to spin him around and knock him to the ground. Ethan tried to pull
her off, but she jumped back up and did the same to him. She froze and whipped her head up to look at
Chase as the other men lay motionless on the ground.
Chase held his hands up. “Sabrina. You know us better than that. Why are you attacking us?”
Her eyes narrowed. “Master said to destroy you,” she hissed.
Chase looked around, afraid that she’d killed the other men, but saw their chests rising and
