Sabrina yawned. “Well, maybe. I wish you could stay home with me today.”
“Me, too. Hopefully once the merger’s complete.”
“But then I’ll be back in rehearsal.”
“Adulting sucks sometimes.”
“Yes, it does.”
Chase ran his hand over her hair and gave her a loving smile, then disappeared into the bathroom.
Sabrina stretched and stared at the ceiling. She’d had the week off from rehearsals and class but
was glad it would restart the following week. She missed dancing and was looking forward to
starting rehearsals for Cinderella and Swan Lake.
The bedroom door opened and closed and she lifted her head to see Ethan walking across the
room toward her. “Good morning.” He’d left after she’d fallen asleep the previous night and Chase
had come home.
“Morning.” He looked around. “Where’s Chase?”
“Shower.”
Ethan nodded, glancing at the shower.
Sabrina smiled. “You could go say hi.”
Ethan pursed his lips. “It’s hard with Lance here.”
She sat up and grabbed his hand. “I’m sorry.”
He shook his head. “It’s okay. Won’t be forever. He finally stopped being a stubborn ass so I’m
not going to mess with it.”
“Go see him. He misses you too.”
Ethan stared at the closed bathroom door. Sabrina pushed on his back and he stood. “Promise me
you won’t go to sleep.”
“I promise.” She lay back down and reached for her phone. “I’ll watch ballet videos.”
Ethan shook his head and laughed.
Chase closed his eyes and let the hot water run over his body. Why had they called a meeting so damn
early this morning? He wanted to crawl back into bed with his beautiful wife and make love to her
again. He had a feeling it wouldn’t take long to get hard again. She had that effect on him.
