“Hello, Lia.” She jumped at his voice and turned to face him, eyes averted from the impaled

slaves. “You look different,” he said, studying her with narrowed eyes.

She looked down at herself and shook her head. “I haven’t changed anything.”

“I think you’re enjoying your time with Jayson.”

A smile trembled on her lips. “He is nice.”

Damian frowned, and she swallowed hard.

“I have a job for you,” he said, settling into his chair and looking up at her. “You’re going to find a

way to be alone with Sabrina and erase her memories of me as her Master. It is imperative those

memories be completely blocked. Do you understand?”

“H-how can I do that?”

“I will give you the ability to do it. It’s up to you to figure out how to get her alone.”

“She’s never alone, Damian. Either Ethan or Chase are with her constantly.”

Damian stood and grabbed her around the neck. “You best figure it out.” He smiled and pushed

her out of the study and toward the stairs to the basement. “I think you’ve forgotten how much it hurts

if you disobey me.”

He pushed her down the stairs and into the cement room. Lia gasped when she saw what was left

of Sydney on the table.

“You remember Sydney, don’t you?” he whispered in Lia’s ear. She slapped her hand over her

mouth and looked away. “She’s still alive, aren’t you, Sydney?” he said in a loud voice.

Lia shook as a whimper sounded from the mass.

“Do you want that to be you?”

Lia shook her head.

“Will you do as I’ve asked?”

She nodded, eyes wide. He relished Lia’s renewed terror and knew it would help her complete

her upcoming task.

“Good girl. Now let’s go upstairs so you can give me a proper greeting.”

He pushed her up the stairs and to his bedroom. He wanted to rip into her ass and hurt her, but he

couldn’t leave bruises where Jayson would see them.

He shoved her onto the bed. “Please me and then I’ll show you how to fix Sabrina’s mind.”
