But Richard had been her Master, too. And Tom. They’d been kind and good. She enjoyed being

under their care. It felt . . . right. Would it feel the same with Chase?

How could it not? Richard cared for her. But Chase? He loved her with all his heart. And a

Master who loved her . . . it couldn’t be bad, could it? Maybe it would be better? Something had been

missing inside of her since they got married, and she’d worried that something was wrong with her or

their marriage bond. Maybe this was what was truly missing.

She met his troubled gaze. “Yes.”

“Yes?”

She nodded. “I am willing for you to become my Master. I trust you.”

He ran his hand across her cheek tenderly. “I will never do anything to betray that trust.”

“I know.”

“If we do it beforehand, Ethan will have an element of that, which will give him more power to

defend you in case something like the other night happens again. If he becomes your guardian before I

become your Master, it will be different.”

“I trust Ethan as much as I trust you. Whatever you think is best.”

He leaned forward and kissed her soundly. “You’re an amazing woman.”

Chase left Sabrina to get ready and headed downstairs to his office. He went to the window and

looked out. A new day. A new stage of life. It would be different, but good. He had no doubt about

that.

Ethan popped his head in a few minutes later.

“Sabrina should be down in a few. She was getting ready when I came down.”

Ethan grinned.

“Did this morning help?”

“Yeah.” Ethan’s mouth twitched. “I enjoyed it.”

“Me, too.”

Ethan stopped. “You did?”

Chase chuckled. “Of course. Why would you think I didn’t?”

Ethan shrugged. “Dunno. Guess part of me thinks you were just being nice.”
