back and screamed louder.
His phone vibrated in his pocket. Lia.
“Shh,” he said in a low voice, touching Alana’s throat to silence her. He answered the call.
“Yes?”
“I went out with Jayson tonight,” came Lia’s soft voice.
“And?”
“He’s very nice.”
“I would expect so,” he snapped. “Did you find out anything?”
“H-he and Chase have been friends since they were boys. They’re very close. He likes dancing
with Sabrina.” She paused. “He cares for her a lot.”
Damian slid the flaming dagger against Alana’s skin and watched her squirm as Lia passed along
a bunch of useless information and then he sighed. “Did you find out anything about the wedding?”
“No, my lord. He said he didn’t know much about their plans yet, but that he would be best man
when it happened.”
“Hmm.” He circled around the back of the half-Immortal and slid the flame between her ass
cheeks. She jerked away but could do little to escape the flame. “When are you going out again?”
“Later this week.”
“Call me the minute you find out more about the wedding. I need to know how much time I have
before things get complicated.” He ended the call and slid the phone back into his pocket. He walked
around the front of the woman and touched her throat. “I want to hear you scream again, Alana. Your
screams make me hard.”

THURSDAY MORNING , S ABRINA’ S PHONE RANG EARLY. S HE OPENED ONE EYE AND SAW CHASE’ S PICTURE
blinking on her screen.
“Is everything okay?” she asked, coming awake at once and sitting up.
Chase laughed. “Yes, love. Everything is fine. Some friends arrived at the house and I wanted you
to meet them.”
She glanced at her phone. “It’s eight in the morning.”
“It’s mid-afternoon for them.”
Them? Sabrina sighed. “You want me to come over now?”
