“I know.” He pulled her hair. She moved to the center of the bed on her hands and knees and he

moved behind her. Sliding inside with one smooth movement, he closed his eyes and relished her

trembling channel around him. “But you love this.”

He slammed into her body repeatedly. She reared back and gasped. He caught her and pressed her

against his chest, reaching down to circle her clit with his fingers. “And you’d do anything for this.” A

moment later, she cried out as she came. He let her fall back to the bed as he pounded into her. He

pulled out as she peaked and rammed himself in her ass without mercy. She screamed and grasped the

sheet with white fingers, but she was still in the throes of her orgasm and writhed beneath him.

A few more strokes and he, too, felt the rush of pleasure. He closed his eyes, digging his

fingernails into her hips, feeling the sticky blood on his hands. He rode to the heights and remained

there for a long time, enjoying the sound of the woman beneath him screaming in pain.

CHASE SAT IN THE STUDY OF HIS MOTHER’ S BROWNSTONE EARLY S UNDAY MORNING , STARING AT THE

tall wooden bookshelves across from him. He’d changed the meeting with the wedding planner to

later this morning since the wedding date had been changed. Sabrina and Ethan would be here soon.

He smiled, remembering the look on Sabrina’s face when he asked her to marry him. The one

sweet moment of the last few days. It had been everything he’d hoped for. Her eyes had lit up with

such delight and happiness, Chase’s chest still swelled with pride knowing he’d made her look that

way.

Normally he’d be working on the status of the bank merger, but his computer had been destroyed

in the fire, and he hadn’t had a chance to buy a replacement yet. He needed to do that today. Fire or

no, he had work to do and life was about to get very busy.

Even if he’d had a computer, he doubted he’d be productive, though. His mind jumped from

thought to thought. Marriage to Sabrina. The supernatural fire that had destroyed his home. The

conversation with Richard. Sabrina’s Master. Finding a new place to live before the wedding.

He stood and stretched his arms above his head then laced his fingers on the top of his head. So

much to do. But it was worth it. Next week, Sabrina would be safe from that monster who wanted her.

A soft knock at the door interrupted his thoughts. He turned to see his mother smiling at him. “You

look deep in thought.”

“Thinking about the man who wants Sabrina.”
