Chase’s jaw trembled and he shook his head. “He—” He swallowed hard. His mouth moved but
couldn’t seem to speak.
Suddenly his memories spilled forth and she saw. She saw what Damian had done to her beloved
Ethan.
Slowly, she turned and glared at Damian. Her pulse pounded in her head. Her vision turned
golden.
“No!” she screamed and lunged at him, golden rage filling her body with strength to kill her
Master.
Chase watched, surprised, as Sabrina attacked Damian, pushing him to the ground. Her fingernails
ripped into his flesh and he screamed in pain.
“She cannot kill her own Master, Elder,” Kronos said. “You must help her.”
“You want me to kill Damian?”
“You must end it. Now.”
Chase’s feet moved even as he questioned what the hell he was doing. Would he kill Sabrina
when he killed Damian?
You have a different kind of bond than Alex had with Anna, Elder. You and Damian have two
separate bonds with her. She will be freed from him when his life is over.
Chase drew strength from Kronos’ words and stepped forward. “Sabrina, look at me,” he
commanded softly.
She looked up but didn’t let go of Damian’s neck. His face was red and he struggled for breath.
“I will finish him.”
She didn’t move, but he felt her soul reach into his mind, searching his thoughts and motives. At
long last, she released Damian and stood, stepping to the side and watching him closely.
Damian gave a hoarse laugh as he crawled backward. “You would really kill me? You think you
have the strength?”
Immortalness surged through Chase’s veins and he knew what to do. “I am the Elder of the Seven
Realms and I pronounce judgment on you for your crimes.” He stepped forward, following Damian as
he tried to crawl away. “I judge you guilty of trying to destroy my world.” Damian’s eyes widened as
Chase’s sword appeared in his hands. “I judge you guilty of abusing my precious wife.” Damian
slipped on the wet grass and fell onto his back. “I judge you guilty of murdering my beloved Ethan in
