Damian stood and sat back on the couch. Terric leaned back on his heels, hands on thighs, head

hung low. He could only imagine the humiliation of being an Immortal subdued by a human. Well, an

almost human.

With the Immortals under his complete control, nothing would stop his return to power.

Chase sat up in the darkness with a start, looking around, trying to remember where he was. A

sliver of morning sunlight dashed across his legs and he wiggled his toes. His foot didn’t hurt for the

first time in days.

Chase’s eyes widened and he looked around. He could see everything in the darkness. His mind

spun, trying to remember what had happened.

The images slowly cleared and he remembered the ceremony, the Immortals, the sex. Oh, the sex.

He looked around again. He was alone, but he knew when he’d fallen asleep, Anna had been with

He stood on shaky legs and looked for something to cover himself. He pulled a blanket from the

ground and stepped out into the sunlight.

Richard approached from the fire ring. “How do you feel?”

“Weird.”

Richard chuckled. “It takes some time to get used to. Let’s get you cleaned up.”

“Cleaned up?”
