Chase’s stomach churned. “Richard thinks so. It has to be him. Sabrina was—” His voice caught
in his throat. “He’s her Master. So it has to be.” He sat up suddenly and reached for his phone.
“Who are you calling?” Lance asked.
“Jayson.”
The phone rang several times before a sleepy voice answered.
“Is Lia with you?”
“Yeah, why?” Jayson asked, his voice heavy with sleep.
“Don’t let her leave. I’m coming over.” Chase stood and shoved his phone into his pocket. “Is
Damian really Lia’s brother? What does she know?”
Ethan stood. “I’m coming with you.”
Chase started to nod, but then stopped. “No. You and Lance go to Damian’s hotel room. Find
Sydney and take her to the Manor. I’ll bring Lia.”
Chase banged on Jayson’s door. He didn’t care it was two-thirty in the morning. He didn’t care if he
woke up the entire building. He only cared about getting answers. And he was going to get them.
Jayson finally answered the door, his hair sticking up, his eyes bleary. “What’s going on?”
He pushed past Jayson and stormed into his friend’s bedroom.
“Chase! Chase, stop. You can’t—”
Chase whirled around. “I can’t what? Damian fucking took Sabrina, and I am going to find out
what your fucking girlfriend knows.”
Jayson’s eyes grew twice their size and Chase stormed into the bedroom and flipped on the light.
“Jayson, wha—” Lia sat up in the bed, messy hair and naked. “Chase?” She pulled the covers up
over her chest.
Chase didn’t care she was naked. He grabbed her arm and yanked her out of bed. “Is Damian
really your brother?”
Her eyes widened and her jaw moved but didn’t speak.
Chase clenched his teeth. “What the fuck do you know about him? Tell me!” He shouted the last
words and she flinched.
Tears filled her eyes and she shook her head. “I-I can’t.”
He shoved her across the room. “Get your fucking clothes on. You’re coming with me.”
“Chase, wait.” Jayson stepped close and Chase pushed him away.
