will see you all again soon,” he said. He and Sabrina disappeared through the curtain and as one,
everyone looked at Chase and Richard.
“What the hell happened?” Chase asked Richard.
Richard’s eyes were as wide as Chase had ever seen them and his mouth moved but no sound
came out.

Richard leaned against the wall and laced his fingers on top of his head. He closed his eyes and
took in several deep breaths. “I think that is the reason Theo urged you to become Sabrina’s Master.”
He opened his eyes. “I think Damian is Vamar.”
“How is that possible? How could we have not known?” Chase narrowed his eyes. “How could

Richard straightened. “I know you’re upset, Chase. But—”

creature I’ve never seen before.” He stalked away a few steps and turned back around. “He took my
