her body in the most interesting way. She’d never been with a kind Immortal before and it was . . .
how could she describe it? Unlike human sex. It was spiritual. Not that being with Chase wasn’t
spiritual, but a being that shared that part of her that wasn’t human could connect in a way she’d never
experienced before. Chase had stayed with them, which had heightened her excitement. She could see
in his eyes that he enjoyed it, too.
She smiled. Theo was enjoyable, but she longed to connect back with Chase. She loved him so
much her heart ached for him.
She glanced at the clock. She’d missed class this morning, which was perfectly understandable.
She hoped she could make it to afternoon rehearsals. There were several small, exclusive
performances coming up, and she was still learning the steps. That, and she felt a strong need to
dance. She always felt more balanced between the two very different aspects of her soul when she
danced.
As she was dressing, Chase walked into the bedroom. “Sabrina?” He appeared in the closet
doorway and smiled. “How are you feeling?” He pulled her into his arms.
“Better,” she said as she wrapped her arms around his waist and rested her head on his chest. She
deeply inhaled his familiar scent and sighed. “Much better now.”
He chuckled.
“Did you talk to Ethan?” she asked.
“I did.”
“Is he okay?”
“He is.”
Sabrina frowned, sensing something amiss. “What’s wrong?”
“Nothing.”
She pulled away and arched a brow. “Something’s on your mind.”
He laughed. “I can’t hide anything from you, can I?”
“I can feel everything right now.”
“I think that’s common after what Theo did.”
“Oh.”
He took her hand and led her out to the bedroom. “I want to talk to you about something.” They sat
on the bed.
