Sabrina giggled. “Yeah, that too.” She glanced over at Chase. “I worry that I’m wearing him out
though. It feels like the more we’re together, the more I want.”
“Well, I think that’s pretty normal for newlyweds. I don’t think a wife can wear out her husband so
quickly.” Kathy put her hand on Sabrina’s arm. “Chase is an honest man. He’ll talk to you if
something’s bothering him.”
“I worry that I won’t be enough for her,” Chase said to Richard as they waited for their drinks.
“Enough how?”
Chase gave Richard a look. “In bed.”
Richard smiled. “Didn’t we talk about this before?”
Chase grimaced. “I know. But, I mean, don’t get me wrong, she is . . . amazing. More than
amazing. God, she’s amazing.”
Richard laughed.
“But won’t she get bored, eventually? I mean, because of what she is?”
“Not necessarily. She loves you very much, and that counts for a lot. Has she said anything?”
Chase shook his head. “No, she seems satisfied every night. But . . .” He sighed. “I don’t know if
I’ll be able to keep up with her.”
Richard threw his head back and gave a hearty laugh. Chase frowned.
“I’m sorry, Chase. It’s not often that you hear a newly married husband worried that he’ll give out
before his bride.”
“Most men aren’t married to a demi-Immortal.”
“True. And that’s what we talked about before.”
Chase pressed his lips together.
“Why don’t you bring her to another Gathering? You could indulge in your love of watching, and
she might get worn out.”
Chase looked up at the ceiling and shook his head. “I can’t believe I’m having this conversation.”
“You don’t want to bring her?”
“No, it’s not that. It’s just . . .” He sighed. “It’s not something I thought I’d ever worry about.”
“Chase.” Richard put his hands on the younger man’s shoulders. “She’s going to be adventurous.
