Chase needed to make sure they were properly bonded before they left the Manor, otherwise,
Sabrina was not safe.
He picked up the ring and stared at it. He had to make a small incision on his cock and inside
Sabrina, then make love, letting their blood mingle. He tapped the slightly raised edge and felt a sharp
poke. A drop of blood emerged from the tip of his finger. He’d barely felt it.
He glanced back at Sabrina. Maybe she wouldn’t notice?
No, he had to tell her before he did it.
He took care of business in the bathroom and then returned to the bed, nuzzling Sabrina’s neck.
She opened her green eyes and his heart melted all over again when she smiled. “What time is it?”
“Almost dinner time.” He pulled the blanket down and ran his fingers across her breasts. Her
nipples tightened and his heart pounded. She arched her back as he leaned down to capture a nipple
between his teeth. His cock tingled as it filled with blood.
She grabbed his face and kissed him hard. “Make love to me again,” she whispered.
He grinned. “With pleasure.” He kissed her soundly and remembered the ring. “Sabrina.”
She tilted her head. “What’s wrong?”
“I . . . I forgot something when we made love earlier.”
Her brows knit together. “What could you have possibly forgotten?” She smiled as her cheeks
turned pink. “I enjoyed it.”
He grinned. “Me too.” He reached over to the nightstand and grabbed hold of the ring and held it
up for her to see. “I was so distracted by you, I forgot the most important thing.”
Her brows arched up. “I have a ring.” She held up her left hand, and the diamonds sparkled.
He smiled. “This is . . .” He sighed. “Blood is necessary to bond us together, so I can protect
you.”
She held out her hand. “Okay. Do it.”
“I can’t just poke your finger, love.” He didn’t want to spell it out for her and prayed she’d
understand without words.
She studied his face for a long time and then her eyes widened. “Oh!” She looked back at the ring.
“Will it hurt?”
“I don’t know. I don’t think so. I poked my finger and didn’t feel it.”
She chewed the inside of her cheek, staring at the ring. “Okay.”
