on Chase’s shoulder. “You’re going to be a good husband. I have no doubt of that.”

Chase gave a weak smile. He felt lightheaded.

Richard handed him a mug of a steaming liquid. “Drink this. It will help you sleep. I’ll see you in

the morning.”

Chase sat down on the bed and sipped the drink as Richard left.

He would keep Sabrina safe.

No matter what.

and the trees surrounding the courtyard.

Sabrina sat in the warm limousine beneath a white velvet cape, shivering, but not cold. She stared

out the window wondering what it would be like to be married. Married to such a man as Chase—

handsome, strong, kind, and determined to keep her safe.

She smiled. It would be good. It had to be.

“You okay?” Ethan asked softly.

She nodded. He looked so handsome in his dress uniform. As did Lance and Matt, who rode with

them. “A little nervous, but not bad.”

Ethan squeezed her hand. “It’ll be a good day.”

She nodded. It would.

The limo pulled up next to the curb. Lance and Matt exited and looked around before giving a

signal to Ethan. Lance held out his gloved hand to help her out. Ethan followed and pulled her arm

through the crook of his elbow. She beamed, and they walked across the courtyard and up the few

shallow steps to the entryway.

It was warm inside. The tall wooden doors that led to the sanctuary were closed.

Liz greeted her with a big hug. “I’m so excited for you!”

“Thanks, Liz.” Sabrina couldn’t hold back the grin.

“There’s the beautiful bride!” Sylvia appeared by her side, beaming. “Are you ready?”

Sabrina nodded, not sure she could make a sound over the lump in her throat.

Sylvia handed Sabrina and Liz their bouquets and then looked around. “Okay, bride, you stand

aside and let the others go in. I’ll tell you when it’s time.”
