Neither spoke for a few minutes. He hated to ask Ethan to fulfill his promise but didn’t see any

Chase stared blankly at the computer screen, then shook his head and blinked. The sooner he

figured out this mess, the quicker he could get back to Sabrina, though maybe it was good he was gone

at this particular moment. He called Corey back. “What have you found?”

Sabrina leaned her head against the wall, tears streaming down her cheeks. The icy cold water had

done nothing to cool her hot body. She shivered, goosebumps all over.

The bathroom door opened, and she looked through the glass shower door to see Ethan step
