I wanna kill this smug son of a?—

“Ah, look who’s back.” Konstantin marches out the front doors while the guests all rush out of his way. He isn’t wearing his mask either. “Now, what is this ruckus, Kirill? Is that any way to treat our fine guest?”

Kirill Marinov. Of course. Another brother, as I thought. At this point, I’ll meet the entire family. My God, they’re like roaches, appearin’ from all over.

“Mogu ya yego ubit'?” Kirill continues to point the gun at me while my palm grabs a hold of the butt of my own weapon.

“Now, now, I don’t want to have to ruin this fine evening with bloodshed, so how about we let our friend Devlin in now that he’s a member?”

“You made this asshole a member for half the cost. He owes us. And he will pay every fucking dime.” Kirill’s brown eyes narrow while my hand curls tightly around my weapon.

I don’t care who he is. If he wants to fight, we will fight.

“It seems you have had a rough start at meeting my family. I promise Anton is the nicer one. More or less.” A miniscule smile twists one side of Konstantin’s mouth, and with a finger, he motions for his brother to lower his weapon.

With a grunt and a snarl, he does.

“Good dog.” I chuckle.

“You son of—” Kirill rushes for me, throwing a punch to my face while I return the favor, getting him in the nose.

“Enough!” Konstantin hollers, and his brother stops, swiping the blood trickling from his mouth.

All I want to do is get inside and keep my eyes on Eriu; meanwhile, I’m stuck here with this idiot.

“Now, Devlin, you will have my money by tomorrow, yes?” A muscle in Konstantin’s jaw twitches. “I don’t like it when I’m owed. You know that well.”

He throws an arm around my shoulders like we’re best friends. I swear, this family is full of psychopaths.

“Aye. I’ll have the rest of it tomorrow.”

“See?” He glances back at his angry brother. “All good. Now, we shall go inside and find your woman.” His words are meant for me this time.

“She’s not my woman, and you bloody well know it.”

His laughter grows as we make it inside and into an elevator.

“The night is young, my friend. You never know where it will lead. Now, come on. The first drink’s on me.”

The music grows as we enter the room, people all over each other. I hate it here. I only stomach it for her.

The more I follow him, the more my mind takes me places where I long to sin…with her. Where I take her up against the wall, with my palm wrapped around her pretty throat. Rip that dress right off and see how much of me she can fit before she cries.

Konstantin shoves a shot of God-knows-what into my chest.

“Na zdorovie.” He tips up his own drink and drowns it in a single gulp.

I do the same, the liquid burning nicely down my throat. “Now tell me where she is.”

“First, I’d like to show you something.”

He removes his cellphone and clicks a few buttons, playing a video. At first, I don’t understand why I’m looking at two people fecking, but then I realize…

“Mason?” I cock a brow. “Here?”

“Not here, no. But he likes to frequent my L.A. club. That one is unmasked. He comes with a woman.” He smirks.

“Why are you showing me this?”
